A project comprising 36 studio apartment’s & 2 commercial units for a university accommodation provider, the project caters for the growing market in affordable halls of residence.
The building itself is constructed from dark coloured facing with panels of through coloured render and large airy dark grey windows. The form of the structure itself follows closely with the local buildings format in terms of its rectilinear style while having a more modern, lighter feel through the use of more contemporary materials and design. A project that reflects most urban renewal schemes in having a new build structure that is closely situated to already existing structures, the scheme highlights the ability to redevelop redundant plots whilst keeping good relations with long term neighbours.
The studios are fully fitted with robust contemporary furniture and come equipped with Elfin food preparation units that contain a sink, hob, refrigerator and microwave. A comprehensively appointed shower room with a cubicle, basin and WC with fully concealed pipework add longevity to the fitment whilst having a modern taste. The studios have dedicated workstations that are fully equipped via integrated wi-fi connectivity to enable students to study in comfortable and quiet surroundings. The building itself is comprehensively covered by CCTV for the security of the residents whilst allowing management of the block to be maintained. The building incorporates Salto door entry to both the main entrance and the studio entrances, a system that is both simple in use and easy to programme upgrades into, the system does away with the issue of keys.
