To operate an environmental management system (EMS).
Use resources efficiently and seek to reduce the use of the same over time.
To minimise the volume of waste deposited to landfill by reusing and recycling materials wherever appropriate.
Avoid traveling where practicable and encourage modes of transport, which minimise environmental impact.
Ensure that our staff are aware of relevant environmental issues, and of their own roles and responsibilities.
Provide training for those with particular responsibilities.
To continue to consider environmental factors and risks in our business decisions, alert our client to the importance of these issues, and direct them to specialist sources of advice.
To encourage the development of products and services that will help our clients to adopt sound environmental principles and practices.
To ensure that other parities we undertake business with are aware of our policy and that wherever possible, they operate to similar standards, as a minimum./p>
To identify performance targets, regularly monitor these, audit and review our environmental policy.
Ensure that resources are available to enable PMC to achieve their objectives and targets.
Inform all employees of their responsibilities in following good environmental practice and the contribution they can make to continual improvements.
A Director will be nominated as responsible to the Board for our environmental performance and implementation of this policy. The Director will be supported by a nominated member of the organisation who will be termed the Environmental Representative.
All employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.
